The Singapore UAS Community celebrated at their now-annual Oktoberfest Networking on 1 October 2026, proudly sponsored by Frequentis. Held at Brotzeit Stanley Street, the event brought together industry leaders and peers for an engaging mix of conversation, camaraderie, and great food and drinks.
After welcome remarks from Martin Chaloupek of Frequentis and the AAIS Chief Executive, the Oktoberfest networking evening began with a traditional beer-keg tapping ceremony. Marking the occasion, the celebratory Bavarian proclamation, “O’zapft is!” (“It’s tapped!”), signalled the start of the Oktoberfest. Throughout the evening, members of the UAS community enjoyed an authentic spread of German cuisine while engaging in lively introductions and meaningful conversations with new and old friends.
The excitement rose with the Beer Stein Hoisting Challenge (“Masskrugstemmen”), as participants put their endurance to the test by holding full beer steins at arm’s length for as long as possible. Congratulations to the winners and a special commendation to the ladies who took the challenge with aplomb! The evening concluded on a celebratory note, with bottles of Austrian wine presented to the game and lucky draw winners.
