Second Run of M08 Basic Aerodynamics
The second cohort of M08 Basic Aerodynamics preparatory classes commenced on 3 August 2024. This course is a component of the SAR 66 preparatory training offered by AAIS to Member Plus+ candidates in our RSAF membership programme. This course will help participants deepen their understanding of aerodynamic functioning, leading to more informed considerations regarding aircraft airworthiness.

AAIS facilitated a visit to SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) Safety Promotion Centres for attendees from RSAF Occupational Safety and Health Working Group, led by Col Nick Wong, Head Air Force Inspectorate and Col (Dr) Brian See, Chief Air Force Medical Officer.

Learning Visit to Changi Airport Group
AAIS organised an exclusive visit for its RSAF members to Changi Airport Group (CAG) on 21 June 2024. The visit showcased CAG’s advanced digitalisation and automation efforts in asset maintenance and management, including technologies like Digital Twins, point cloud data, and sensorisation. A tour of the Fault Management Centre provided practical insights into these technologies, showcasing wins of an innovation culture.

Seminar: Integrating Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing
Held on 27 Sep 2024, this event brought together aerospace professionals to discuss increasingly important aspects of industry regulations and expectations. AAIS Panel of Expert member Michael Daniel shared on counterfeit and suspected unapproved parts in the aerospace system while Katie Yewdall of LRQA APAC held an engaging session on integrating sustainability into aerospace operations.

MRO Asia-Pacific 2024 Exhibition
MRO Asia-Pacific 2024, held from 24-26 Sep at Singapore Expo, solidified its position as the region’s premier MRO event. The Singapore Pavilion coordinated by AAIS showcased 22 Singapore enterprises, with an array of capabilities and solutions on exhibit. Highlights included a visit by YB Ng Sze Han from the Selangor State Exco, and a casual networking session involving next-gen SME leaders from the inaugural PEP cohort.

AAIS & Embassy of Ireland: MRO Market Briefing & Networking
As a prelude to MRO Asia-Pacific and in close partnership with Enterprise Ireland, AAIS was proud to organise a Market Highlight Briefing and Networking session on 23rd September 2024. Hosted at the new Ireland House, the event brought together key players from the Irish and Singaporean aviation and aerospace sectors for an insightful exchange of market trends and opportunities.
