The Singapore Pavilion at Singapore Airshow 2026 was a hive of activity, bringing together 22 Singapore aerospace companies, industry partners and international stakeholders for four days of business engagement, networking and knowledge exchange. Coordinated by AAIS, the Pavilion formed part of the landmark 10th edition of Singapore Airshow, which welcomed a record 65,000 trade attendees from more than 130 countries and regions and over 1,100 participating companies over the trade days, and a further 60,000 visitors on the public day weekend.

Held from 3 to 8 February 2026, the airshow came at a time when Asia-Pacific continues to emerge as a key centre of gravity for global aviation and aerospace growth. Singapore’s aerospace sector is scaling in tandem, with industry output growing from approximately S$8.3 billion in 2014 to an estimated S$18 billion in 2024, and preliminary EDB figures indicating a further 30.7 per cent year-on-year increase in 2025. Against this backdrop, the Singapore Pavilion provided a platform for Singapore companies to showcase their capabilities, connect with potential partners and explore opportunities in the region.

Diverse Capabilities on Display

The Singapore Pavilion featured 22 exhibitors showcasing a broad range of capabilities across aerospace manufacturing, MRO, engineering, digital technologies and emerging aviation solutions. The Pavilion provided international visitors with an overview of Singapore’s aerospace ecosystem and the capabilities available across the supply chain.

The Pavilion attracted visits from senior government leaders and international delegations throughout the trade and public days. VIP visitors included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Gan Kim Yong; Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ms Low Yen Ling; Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms Gan Siow Huang; and Minister of State, Ministry of Defence, Mr Desmond Choo.

International delegations and industry counterparts from Canadian provincial delegations, the Philippines Aerospace Association, GIFAS, and Aichi Prefecture also visited the Pavilion, providing opportunities for exhibitors to showcase their capabilities and explore potential areas of collaboration.

Industry Engagement and Partnerships

Beyond the exhibition floor, AAIS and its partners organised a series of activities to facilitate business connections and strengthen international partnerships.

Jointly organised by AAIS and JTC, the International Networking Lunch brought together more than 130 senior industry leaders and representatives from Singapore and overseas. AAIS’ international counterparts from France’s GIFAS, Canada’s AIAC, Germany’s BDLI, China’s CSAA, Japan’s SJAC, Malaysia’s MAIA and GACP joined the gathering, providing opportunities to exchange perspectives, strengthen industry relationships and explore future collaboration.

The Aerospace Open Innovation Challenge (AOIC) 2026 was launched by Enterprise Singapore and JTC, with AAIS serving as a Supporting Partner alongside the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn). The 2026 challenge featured five demand drivers—Airbus, AIR Lab, ArianeGroup, Bombardier and Rolls-Royce—and six problem statements focused on automation and digitalisation, next-generation MRO and sustainable technologies. The initiative connects industry demand with technology providers and suppliers, creating opportunities to develop solutions for real-world aerospace challenges.

Emerging and Evergreen Priorities

Dual-use technologies and defence industrial cooperation featured prominently during the airshow. Together with the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, AAIS hosted a closed-door Strategic Roundtable on “The Future of Defence (Industrial) Co-operation: Singapore and Canada”. Held under the Chatham House Rule, the discussion explored opportunities for deeper collaboration in dual-use technologies, innovation platforms and resilient supply chains.**

Talent development remained an important part of the industry’s agenda. AAIS co-organised an exclusive HR Forum with Airbus, bringing together senior human resource leaders to discuss the evolving human-machine partnership and the skills and capabilities needed to support the future aerospace workforce.

AAIS also contributed to regional discussions on green aviation alongside counterparts from CSAA, MAIA and the International Aerospace Green Alliance (IAGA), supporting the International Forum on Green Aviation. The forum brought together industry stakeholders to exchange perspectives on green aviation and the pathways towards a more sustainable aerospace sector in the Asia-Pacific region.

Outreach and Media

The airshow also provided an opportunity for AAIS to strengthen the resources available to the aerospace and space community. AAIS launched a refreshed Asia-Pacific Aviation and Space Directory (APAD), featuring an improved website experience to make it easier for companies and industry stakeholders to discover and connect with organisations across the region.

The Singapore Pavilion Spotlight Sessions, co-organised by JTC and AAIS, provided participating companies with another platform to share their technologies, capabilities and solutions with the wider aerospace community. Seven companies took part in the sessions, highlighting areas of innovation and expertise across the Singapore aerospace ecosystem.

The Singapore Pavilion and AAIS’ activities also received coverage across local and international media. This included two headline interviews on CNA, providing opportunities to highlight Singapore’s aerospace capabilities, industry developments and the outlook for the sector.

Showcasing Singapore’s Aerospace Capabilities

Singapore Airshow 2026 provided an important platform for Singapore’s aerospace industry to showcase its capabilities, build business connections and strengthen relationships across the international aerospace community. Through the Singapore Pavilion and its wider programme of industry engagement, AAIS remains committed to supporting the growth and internationalisation of Singapore’s aerospace ecosystem.
