MRO Asia-Pacific 2024, held at Singapore Expo from 24 to 26 September, reaffirmed its status as the premier event for the region’s commercial air transport maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector. With an expanded exhibition across two halls and a strong turnout of trade visitors, the bustling event offered an essential platform for industry professionals to connect, collaborate, and explore the latest trends and innovations in MRO.
The Singapore Pavilion, coordinated by AAIS, highlighted the diverse capabilities of 22 Singapore-based enterprises. From aerospace manufacturing and MRO services to digital technologies and support solutions, the pavilion attracted a steady stream of visitors.
Among key visitors to the pavilion was YB Ng Sze Han, Selangor Exco for Investment, Trade, and Mobility, further underscoring strong business ties between Singapore and Malaysia. Next-generation SME leaders from the inaugural cohort of AAIS’ Promising Entrepreneurs Programme also seized the opportunity to reconnect with each other and engage with contacts from their recent industry study visit to Bangkok.
AAIS members also took the opportunity to announce exciting developments and outstanding achievements. We congratulate and celebrate:
- Acme Manufacturing Singapore on their 5th Anniversary.
- Eaton Aerospace and SIA Engineering Company Limited on the unveiling of their joint venture, Eaton Aerospace Component Services Asia Sdn. Bhd.
- Fokker Services Asia for their appointment as Embraer Authorized Service Center, to provide maintenance services for the E-Jets first-generation family, focusing on the E190.
- Singapore Polytechnic and JADE Engineering for the launch of their new Flammability Test Lab at SP’s Aero Hub Facility.
- Liebherr-Aerospace and Asia Digital Engineering for their collaboration to enhance predictive maintenance capabilities for the Airbus A320ceo/neo.
- SIA Engineering Company for winning “Aftermarket Service Provider of the Year” and “Marketing Campaign of the Year” at the MRO Asia-Pacific Awards 2024.
The positive feedback from both exhibitors and trade visitors is a testament to the event’s growing influence and the rising demand for MRO solutions across the region. Many attendees expressed a desire for more time to fully explore the pavilion and connect with key contacts.
We look forward to the next edition of MRO Asia-Pacific scheduled for 17–18 September 2025.
