About the Course:
Advanced Pyrometry was developed to give those with some knowledge of AMS2750 a more complete understanding of pyrometry requirements. The course presents the background to key specification requirements and includes live demonstrations of how those requirements should met. It includes insight into the documentation details required to demonstrate compliance with requirements.

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

  • Implement the necessary procedures, work instructions, and practices to maintain successful pyrometric control
  • Demonstrate understanding of “doing and reviewing” calibrations and tests
Who Should Attend?
Any person who is responsible for pyrometric testing or the quality of in-house or external pyrometric services will benefit from this course. Participants should be familiar with AMS2750

NOTE: Participants must bring a copy of the AMS2750 to class for reference.

Course Content:
  • Clarifies the why and how of SAE AMS2750 requirements, not just what the requirements are.
  • Live hands-on instruction for thermocouples, instrument calibrations, system accuracy testing, and temperature uniformity surveys using onsite equipment and industry examples. Perform hands-on “example” auditing of pyrometry calibration and testing procedures, certificates, and report.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of sensors (thermocouples), instruments (Standards, Test, and Process), classification of thermal processing equipment, System Accuracy Tests (SAT), and Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS).

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance from PRI.
