The Singapore UAS Community marked Oktoberfest last Friday 10 Oct 2025 with a spirited networking evening, proudly sponsored by Frequentis. Held at Brotzeit Vivocity, the event brought together industry leaders and peers for an energising mix of conversation, camaraderie, and classic bar games paired with great food and drinks. We were pleased to welcome new members and Counter-UAS businesses to the event. This no doubt, made for interesting conversations and opportunities for mutual learning.

Following welcome speeches by Martin Chaloupek of Frequentis and AAIS Chief Executive, a sumptious spread of traditional German fare was served, coupled with meaningful introductions and conversations. The energy then went up a notch with the Beer Stein Hoisting Challenge (“Masskrugstemmen”), where men tested their endurance, holding full beer steins at arm’s length for as long as they could. Apparently the world record is in excess of 21 minutes! Fortunately for the audience, it did not take quite as long to determine the winner, though bolstered with cheers and songs to encourage the participants. In the end it was down to a competition between representatives of ATMRI and NexAvian, with ATMRI holding out to the last. The ladies then had their turn with “Hammerschlagen” – a game to drive a nail into a wooden stump using a hammer. Each of the five contestants took turns to swing at their respective nails in a blend of precision and strength. This was a lot more difficult then it appeared, but the ladies proved up to the challenge!

The evening concluded with souvenirs for all bar game participants, and a lucky draw for wine and other prizes! We thank all participants for making it an evening of new connections, future collaborations, fun and camaraderie.

A special thanks to Martin Chaloupek, the undeniable life of the party, whose warmth and humour made sure everyone felt welcome and engaged. It was a night of meaningful business connections, conversations and fun; hallmarks of a thriving community.
