About the Course:
In the 2-day ISO 14064-Part 1: Quantification & Reporting of GHG Emissions & Removals Course the participants will understand the GHG emission inventory development and requirements of ISO 14064-1:2006 and ISO 14064-2:2006 standards. They will also learn the quantification techniques of GHG emissions and the requirements of development of GHG emission reduction projects and purpose for doing so.

ISO 14064 builds largely on the existing ISO standards which specify principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and reporting of the Greenhouse Gas(GHG). For instance, ISO 14064-Part 1 develops GHG inventory for an organisation emissions which base on ISO 14064–Part 2 (Design and implement GHG projects) and ISO 14064–Part 3 (Validation and verification process).

Customers, consumers and shareholders are increasingly concerned with the environmental impact of the activities, products and services they are engaged in. This may be seen as a challenge, but it is also an opportunity. Green house gas verification from ISO 14064 enables organisations to demonstrate environmental responsibility, stand out from the competitions and demonstrate to the existing and potential customers under commitment. Organisations can demonstrate its commitment to reducing the impact of its daily operations on the environment with GHG reporting and analysis based on ISO 14064 standard.

Who Should Attend?
Individuals who are interested in quantification and reporting of GHG emissions and removal according to the requirements of ISO 14064 standards.

No specific education or practical experience is required.

However, previous exposure to management system like ISO 14001 and GHG protocol will be an added advantage. The course shall cover reporting and verification requirements of GHG inventory; hence previous experience in auditing (either internal or external) in any management systems is essential.

  • Environmental Care Officers
  • Environmental Managers / Auditors
  • Sustainability Officers / Managers
  • Executives tasked with GHG monitoring and reporting

Course Content:
This training course is highly interactive with extensive participant involvement. Combining discussions necessary to provide the knowledge and principles of ISO 14064 and exercises for the practical application of the basic principles, participants will gain the necessary skill sets for ISO 14064. At the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain and discuss the purpose, benefits and importance of GHG monitoring and reporting
  • Learn the quantification techniques of GHG emissions
  • Apply the principles and initiate the development of GHG reduction projects
  • Be familiar with the quantification and reporting of the GHG
