Singapore Pavilion at the Inaugural Space Summit 2026

The inaugural Singapore Space Summit 2026, held from 2 to 3 February at Marina Bay Sands, brought together space companies, industry leaders, government agencies, investors and research stakeholders from Singapore and around the world.

AAIS was pleased to serve as Association Partner, supporting and augmenting the Summit with platforms and activities to showcase Singapore’s growing space capabilities, connect local companies with international partners and strengthen collaboration across the space ecosystem.

The Summit also marked an important milestone for Singapore’s space sector, with Minister for Education and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng announcing the establishment of the National Space Agency of Singapore (NSAS) from 1 April 2026. The new agency will elevate Singapore’s efforts to develop the space industry, building on the work of the Office for Space Technology and Industry (OSTIn) in growing Singapore’s space capabilities and ecosystem.

The development comes as Singapore’s space sector continues to build momentum, with more than 70 companies now operating directly in space-related activities. AAIS has strengthened its support for this growing community through the Singapore Space Community, which brings together more than 50 organisations spanning satellite technologies, mission services, components, research, engineering and talent development.

Showcasing Singapore’s Space Capabilities

A key highlight of AAIS’ involvement at the Summit was the Singapore Pavilion, coordinated by AAIS and featuring 11 homegrown space enterprises. Supported by Enterprise Singapore, the pavilion showcased capabilities across areas including satellite technologies, laser and quantum communications, remote sensing and hyperspectral imaging, radiation-hardened electronics, downstream AI-enabled processing and other emerging space applications.

There was good buzz in the Pavilion as exhibitors presented their latest developments, engaged international visitors and explored potential partnerships across the global space ecosystem. It welcomed Minister for Education and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Tan See Leng, Minister of State for Trade and Industry Gan Siow Huang, and senior representatives from government agencies including JTC Corporation and Enterprise Singapore.

In conjunction with the Summit, AAIS also published a second run of the Singapore Space Industry Directory, following strong interest in its inaugural edition. The directory the first print directory that comprehensively maps Singapore’s full range of space capabilities, helping to raise the visibility of our local space enterprises and facilitate connections across the growing ecosystem.

Publications distributed included:

• Aerospace Singapore, featuring a dedicated article on APAC’s growing role and opportunities in the space sector ;
• Singapore Aerospace Industry Directory; and

Together, these publications provide industry stakeholders with greater visibility of Singapore’s aerospace and space capabilities and support connections across the wider ecosystem.

Connecting Singapore with International Space Ecosystems

The Summit also provided an opportunity for AAIS to strengthen Singapore’s links with key international space markets.

AAIS signed three MOUs with national industry associations and space ecosystem partners from Australia, India and Japan:

• Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA) – to strengthen Singapore-Australia collaboration through industry information exchange, business-to-business engagement, thought leadership and talent development.
• Satcom Industry Association–India (SIA-India) – to identify mutually beneficial partnerships across the Singapore and Indian aerospace ecosystems, including industry exchanges, knowledge sharing, research and innovation.
• SPACETIDE Foundation (Japan) – to promote closer ties between the Singapore and Japanese space ecosystems through reciprocal exchanges, industry delegations and broader collaboration.

Together, the partnerships expand AAIS’ network with established national industry associations and ecosystem organisations, opening avenues for Singapore companies to exchange knowledge, build business connections and explore complementary capabilities across the Asia-Pacific.

Supporting Singapore’s Growing Space Ecosystem

Beyond the AAIS-led partnerships, the Summit highlighted the breadth of activity emerging from Singapore’s space ecosystem.

Supporting the event organiser Experia, and OSTIN, AAIS served as an industry anchor at the official media conference, contributing to discussions on Singapore’s growing space capabilities and the opportunities emerging across the sector. The session featured nine industry announcements and partnerships spanning laser communications, quantum communications, space situational awareness, 5G/6G non-terrestrial networks, blue carbon applications, talent development and space technology education. The range of announcements reflected the growing convergence between space, advanced technologies and other sectors, while demonstrating the increasing participation of Singapore-based companies in international space activities.

AAIS also supported media engagement around the Summit, helping to raise visibility of Singapore’s growing space ecosystem and the companies contributing to its development:
