On 20 February 2025, the AAIS had the pleasure of welcoming a second batch of participants from the Aviation Foundation Programme, organised by the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), to Seletar Aerospace Park. The delegation comprised officials from various states, alongside officers from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Changi Airport Group.
As part of the visit, the AAIS Chief Executive delivered a seminar on the critical role of national aviation and aerospace industry associations in shaping industry ecosystems. He outlined how AAIS actively supports its members through key initiatives including innovation and technology adoption, business and capability development, industry standards, sustainability, safety and human capital. He also underscored the association’s role as the voice of the industry, facilitating business opportunities, fostering a strong community, and representing members’ collective interests.
CE also touched on the strategic value of Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP) and Seletar Airport in strengthening Singapore’s position as an aviation and aerospace hub. Home to a diverse mix of organisations, SAP includes aerospace manufacturing plants, MRO shops, suppliers and training institutions.
The engagement proved to be highly valuable, offering participants—including future leaders and policymakers—deeper insights into the work of aerospace associations and their contributions to the industry. The visit reinforced the importance of collaboration in strengthening the global aviation and aerospace landscape.
