About the Course:
This is a comprehensive shot peening knowledge and application training programme designed especially for the aerospace manufacturing industry. The course covers all fundamental and essential aspect in the understanding and utilisation of the shot peening process in accordance with aerospace industry standards and requirements. It provides guidance and important information of how this special process technique could be properly and effectively carried out, with regards to process/technique development, procedural development, competency in operation, process control, quality assurance and personnel qualification requirement.

The course would also equip attendees for proficiency and competency in meeting Nadcap Accreditation training requirement.

About the Instructor:

Mr Nai Puay Guan
Nai is an independent consultant in the aerospace industry, a Nadcap Lead Auditor and a Shot Peening & Flap Peening trainer based in Singapore. He has training in mechanical engineering and holds a Master Degree in Engineering (University of South Australia). He has expertise and extensive experience in Aerospace Quality Systems and Process Management; especially for significant or special processes such as Surface Enhancement Technology, Conventional and Non-Conventional Machining. He formerly served as Instructor and Examiner of the Singapore Air Force School and was the General Manager of a metal finishing company in Singapore providing aerospace special process services. He has co-authored a book on Shot Peening (2006 & 2009) and is a member of the SAE AMECSE committee.

Nai has performed numerous training and consultation works in many aerospace companies across numerous countries including ATI (Singapore), Airfoil Malaysia, ADAT (Abu Dhabi), GE Aviation, other GE sites in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan & Saudi Arabia, Goodrich Aerostructures (Singapore & Dubai), Jordan Airmotive (Jordan), Malaysian Airlines, Saesl, ST Aerospace as well as many other aerospace companies in China, Taiwan and Japan etc.
