An AAIS delegation of 11 companies embarked on a Thailand business mission to Bangkok and Chonburi from 4 – 7 August 2025. Over the three-day programme, the delegates had the chance to participate in facility tours, site visits, briefings, and networking sessions with various companies and industry professionals.

With the aim to understand and explore opportunities in Thailand’s aerospace and aviation ecosystem, the delegation visited aerospace and MRO facilities in Thailand, Chonburi, including AAR Component Services (Thailand), Micromatics, Revima Asia Pacific, SAM Precision (Thailand), and TurbineAero Repair.

During the facility tours and briefings, participants gained valuable insights into the operations and layouts of the factory shopfloors. They also had the opportunity to observe various aircraft MRO procedures, including those related to engines, auxiliary power units (APUs), landing gears, and radomes. The tailored tours enabled participants to observe firsthand processes directly, encouraging knowledge exchange, discussions on best practices, and inspiring new ideas for potential collaborations.

A highlight of the mission was the Thailand Aviation Society Networking event held on 6 August at the Athenee Hotel in Bangkok. The networking event, organised by AAR Thailand and co-sponsored by parties include AAIS and AAIS member, SL Metals, attracted over 400 industry professionals from Thailand and Singapore.

The evening buzzed with energy as guests mingled, exchanged ideas, and forged new connections in a warm, relaxed setting over food and drinks. Singapore delegates also had the opportunity to engage with Thai industry professionals, explore potential collaborations, and also reconnect with familiar friends from Singapore.

Overall, the Thailand business mission was a success and opened doors for Singapore participants. The trip offered participants a valuable platform to engage with key stakeholders, gain valuable insights into Thailand’s aviation and aerospace ecosystem, and explore possible avenues for cross-border collaboration.

We extend our sincere appreciation to:

  • Company hosts including SAM Precision (Thailand), AAR Component Services (Thailand), TurbineAero Repair, Revima Asia Pacific, and Micromatics.
