The SGUnited Traineeships Programme aims to provide up to 8,000 traineeship opportunities typically lasting up to 12 months to fresh graduates from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Polytechnics, Universities and other educational institutions. This will help trainees develop industry-relevant skills and boost their employability in preparation for the eventual economic recovery.

By participating in the SGUnited Traineeships Programme, host companies can gain access to a pool of fresh talent, and then be able to recruit from a pool of experienced trainees when hiring picks up. Host companies can also look forward to Government support to co-fund 80% of Training Allowances over the duration of traineeship. Training must commence by 31st December 2020.
