AAIS was pleased to host a delegation from Clark Development Corporation (CDC), led by President and CEO, Mdm Agnes VST Devanadera, at Seletar Aerospace Park on 17 July 2025.
The delegation was welcomed by AAIS President Wong Yue Jeen and Chief Executive Sia Kheng Yok, who shared an overview of Singapore’s aviation and aerospace landscape, key developments, and the role of AAIS in fostering industry growth and collaboration.
In return, Mdm Devanadera provided an overview of Clark and its ongoing transformation into a vibrant economic hub, with a focus on aviation, MICE, tourism, and other key sectors.
Clark Development Corporation governs a 32,000-hectare area encompassing the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, formerly a US military base. Clark is strategically positioned just 15 minutes by air from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It is envisioned as a key node for connectivity to domestic destinations across the Philippine archipelago.
Notably, Clark International Airport is operated by a consortium led by Changi Airports International, which secured a 25-year concession in 2018 to operate and maintain the airport. Clark is also home to SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation, a fully owned subsidiary of SIA Engineering Company that has been providing MRO services at Clark International Airport since 2008.
The exchange was a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties and explore future collaborations between Singapore’s aerospace ecosystem and emerging developments in the Philippines.
