About the Course:
Before an organisation in the manufacturing sector embarks on a digital transformation journey, it needs a clear understanding of its current Industry 4.0 readiness level.

This introductory course lets participants develop an understanding of their organisation’s Industry 4.0 readiness, using a validated structured approach and with practical hands-on examples conducted at the Model Factory@ARTC.

Who Should Attend?
This course is primarily relevant for managers and engineers in the manufacturing sector active in digital transformation activities.

PRE-REQUISITES

  • Applicants should possess a degree in any discipline or a diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related working experience.
  • Applicants who do not have the required academic qualifications are still welcome to apply, but shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview for special approval.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Course Content:
The course aims to help participants address the following performance gaps for their organisations:

• Learn the SIRI methodology to “recognise” requirements to evaluate their organisations’ current existing Industry 4.0 readiness.
• Provide a practical and comprehensive model of all the necessary elements needed to determine the existing organisation’s Industry 4.0 readiness level.
• Understand the possibilities and options to digitalise their manufacturing operations based on in-house demonstrators within the Model Factory@ARTC.

Upon Completion
Participants will be awarded with a Certificate of Attendance (COA) by ARTC if they meet the following criteria:
– Achieve at least 75% course attendance;
– Take all assessments; and
– Pass the course.

About the Trainers:
Mr Anikath Murali Das
is the Senior Programme Manager of the Model Factor@ARTC that showcases Industry 4.0 technologies via physical demonstrators in a workshop environment. He has over 30 years of industry experience in a major MNC (culminating as a Senior Director) in the computer sector and as well as strong industrial consulting experience. He has had significant working experience in multiple countries including Switzerland, Italy, India, Singapore and managing teams in China and Thailand.Dr Antonio Feraco is the Managing Consultant for Industry 4.0 (I4.0) with A*STAR ARTC. He is responsible for supporting the process manufacturing sector into adopting I4.0 technologies to enable end-to-end integration, improve HSE and optimising efficiency. With a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, a background in Industrial Engineering, Dr Feraco ran successful projects in oil and gas, mining and pharma, and has been part of several international initiatives in EU and ASEAN, as a Digitisation and Industry 4.0 expert. He previously worked as an R&D manager, strategy and management consultant and technology advisor and developed a comprehensive experience in AR, VR, AI, business process optimisation, project management in several sectors such as energy efficiency and robotics. Dr Feraco is also a Professor and Chair of Corporate Governance at the University of Vitez, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a trainer with the National University of Singapore. He delivers training for industry and academia in both technical topics as Predictive Maintenance, and non-technical subjects like Management of Innovation Processes and Technology Transfer Strategies.
