About the Course:
The Singapore Ministry of Manpower’s WSH Risk Management Regulation 2006 introduced a new occupational safety and health framework to foster an accident-prevention culture at the workplace. The principle under this new framework is emphasis employers, self-employed persons and principals are responsible for identifying safety hazards at workplaces and taking steps to eliminate or reduce the risks. This includes assessing, controlling, monitoring and communicating risks to mitigate safety and health risks at source.

In Singapore, safety plays an important factor to all types of industries. All organizations aim to attain a level of certification; this at the same time enhances the public view towards the organizations’ attitude towards safety. As a result, to be adequately safe, we regularly review the likelihood of an accident occurring.

This interactive training session provides learners with the opportunity to practice, and apply the knowledge and skills learnt to produce a practical risk management plan for the organisation, conduct hazard identification, apply risk assessment methodology to evaluate risks and implement the hierarchy of controls to mitigate risks as well as hazard communication through discussions and practices.
