About the Workshop:
The workshop is a refreshment training meant for Quality Managers in the aerospace industry. It aims to benchmark the best practices in the quality management system (QMS) used by each organisation.

Participants are required to share training materials among the group to enrich each participant organisation on the topics addressed during the workshop.


Pre-requisite requirements:
  • Quality Managers in an aerospace organisation for at least 5 years
  • Senior Quality Engineers in an aerospace organisation for at least 8 years
  • Subject Topic Expert in the organisation for the following topics:
    a. Audit Management and Approach
    b. Human Factors Management
    c. FOD Prevention Management
    d. Supplier Development & Management
    e. Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) AS9145
    f. Risk Management (SMS)
    g. Part 145 / Part 21 Requirements
    h. AS 9100, AS 9110, AS 9120 standard requirements
    i. Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Problem Solving Methodologies (8D Approach)
    j. Counterfeit Parts Prevention Plan (AS6462)
    k. Process Statistic Control (SPC)
    l. Any other quality related topics
About the Facilitator:

Mr. Jimson Ngiam, Chairman, Singapore Aerospace Quality Group (SAQG)
With more than 20 years of experience working in various aerospace companies, Jimson became an Aerospace Quality Manager in an MRO organisation certified by various Aviation Authorities (e.g. CAAC, CAAS, CAA UK, DGAC EASA, DCA, FAA etc.) at the age of 28. He currently holds the position of Quality Director in Thales Solutions Asia and is responsible for its quality management for MRO (Part 145) and Production (Part 21) facility and other operations in Asia.

Throughout his aerospace career, he developed and implemented the followings:-
• Part 145 quality system for new MRO facility
• Part 21 quality system for new Production facility
• AS 9100 and AS 9110 Aerospace Quality System
• Human Factors and Maintenance Error Prevent system
• Aviation Safety Management System
• Industrial Process Control Assessment System (AM2535-IPCA)

Jimson is currently a certified Aerospace Experience Auditor for AS 9100 and AS 9110 standards, and is an experienced trainer for Human Factors, ISO 9001, ISO 18001, ISO 14001, Airbus IPCA, AS 9100 & AS 9110.
