About the Course:
This one day training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of quality management systems in the aerospace engine sector. By exploring key standards, including AS 13100, 9100 and 9145, the course equips professionals with the tools needed to ensure the production of Aero engines that meet stringent regulatory and customer requirements.

Who Should Attend?
This one day course is designed for professionals working within the aerospace engine design and production sectors, providing an understanding of the AS 13100 Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. Participants will gain insight into the associated AESQ Reference Manuals (RM) and learn how these guidelines ensure high standards of quality and compliance in engine manufacturing processes.

  • Quality Managers in Aero engine design and production organizations
  • Aerospace engineers and specialists involved in engine design and manufacturing
  • Certification professionals and auditors working with aerospace engine manufacturers
  • Suppliers and subcontractors supporting aero engine production
  • Individuals responsible for implementing or maintaining quality management systems (QMS) within the engine manufacturing sector
  • Regulatory and certification personnel working with aerospace engine design and production organizations

Course Content:
  • Introduction to Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality (AESQ) program:
An introduction to the AESQ program and its role in maintaining high-quality standards in the design and production of aero engines. Participants will learn how AESQ contributes to the overall quality assurance process within the aerospace industry.
  • Overview of 9100 Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Organizations & 9145 Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process:
A review of the 9100 series of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including the core principles and practices for aviation, space, and defense organizations. This section include 9145, focusing on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) in the aerospace sector.
  • SAE AS 13100 AESQ Quality Management System Requirements for Aero Engine Design and Production Organizations:
An Introduction to the AS 13100 QMS requirements specifically tailored to aero engine design and production organizations. This section will cover critical areas of quality assurance and management with a focus on the unique challenges and requirements of the aerospace engine sector.
  • Overview of AESQ Reference Manuals (RM):
Participants will gain an understanding of the AESQ Reference Manuals (RM), which provide detailed guidelines and processes for quality management within aero engine design and production organizations. This section will highlight how these manuals align with the broader industry standards to ensure consistent quality across aerospace engine suppliers.
  • Reference Manual RM13005 Quality Audit Requirements:
A review of RM13005, which outlines the quality audit requirements for aerospace engine suppliers. This section will cover the key elements of auditing practices and how these practices help maintain compliance with AESQ and other quality standards
