AAIS will continue to monitor the evolution of COVID-19 closely.
We are confident that the coordinated and swift response by the Singapore government, led by the multi ministry task force and public health institutions, will limit the spread of the virus. At the same time, we must all play our part. AAIS strongly recommends that businesses comply with the control measures, for the health and safety of all. Please refer to the latest advisories and the guide by Enterprise Singapore on COVID-19 for businesses.
The situation has also inevitably impacted daily operations and staff deployment for many in the industry. Members may find additional resources at our dedicated COVID-19 resources webpage.
AAIS stands together with the aerospace community at this challenging time. It is at times like this that we have to turn to each other for mutual support and to share knowledge, experience, and resources. We are actively reaching out to you, via our e-newsletter, online dialogue sessions, and webinars. Please also feel free to contact the Secretariat if you require urgent support or clarification on any other matters.
The air transport sector has weathered difficult and stormy periods in the past, such as the SARS and aftermath of 9-11. This situation is likely to be with us for many months and we must prepare ourselves for the long haul. While the impact on business will be harsh, it is also a season to evaluate what is really important, in our business and also personally. We are confident that together, we can manage and overcome this challenge, and emerge even stronger.
