On 11th October 2024, the Singapore UAS Community gathered at Brotzeit, Vivocity, for a lively Oktoberfest-themed networking event, generously sponsored by Frequentis. The evening kicked off with participants enjoying specialty Oktoberfest drinks and a free flow of delicious meat platters and apple strudel.
One of the event’s highlights was the Stein Holding Competition (Masskrugstemmen), which saw David Sim from Republic Polytechnic, Sebastian Aldeco of Heron Airbridge, and Edmund Lim from ADAM (Academy of Design Arts and Media Pte Ltd) going head-to-head. With sheer determination and endurance, David triumphed, holding his steins (filled with water) with a straight arm for the longest time.
Meanwhile, Levinia from Skyports, Angelin from RSAF, and Diane Tan of MicroNav engaged in a friendly yet fierce competition of Hammerschlagen, attempting to drive a nail into a wooden stump. Levinia emerged victorious with impressive skill and speed.
The festivities culminated in a thrilling lucky draw, where familiar faces were delighted to claim coveted prizes. As the evening drew to a close, everyone present raised their steins/ drinks for a traditional Oktoberfest toast, celebrating a successful evening of fun, networking, and camaraderie.
