RSAF Airbase Civil Engineering Squadrons Visit Changi Airport Group
On 6 November 2024, AAIS facilitated a visit to Changi Airport Group for RSAF engineers maintaining Air Base infrastructures. Building on a Learning Journey in June , the group engaged with CAG experts on digitalisation and automation in asset maintenance and management. They also toured the Fault Management Centre for a firsthand look at these systems in operation.

AAIS 22nd Annual General Meeting
The 22nd AAIS Annual General Meeting (AGM) was successfully held on 25 October 2024, with a strong turnout from AAIS members. One of the key highlights was the election of two Vice Presidents to the Management Committee. We are pleased to welcome Mr Pang Yong Kiang of Pratt & Whitney as 1st Vice President and Mr Raymond Lim of Airbus as 2nd Vice President. Members were also treated to an exclusive briefing by the Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn).

RSAF Members Visit Fokker Services Asia
On 24 October 2024, RSAF members had the opportunity to visit Fokker Services Asia at Seletar Aerospace Park. Highlights of the facility tour included demonstrations of FSA’s ERP system, Component Maintenance Repair Overhaul (CMRO) for specialised parts and a lamination applicator for heavy-duty component repairs. The visit included discussions and exchanges on operational practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory impacts on the MRO sector.

Singapore UAS Community @ Expand Space
The Singapore UAS Community by AAIS participated in the inaugural Expand Space event, showcasing UAS technologies with the support of Skyports, ST Engineering, and Heron AirBridge. Held on 22 November and organised by Space Faculty, Expand Space featured interactive zones and a Future Careers Showcase highlighting Deep Tech fields including AI, robotics, and space, drawing over 700 participants.

Exclusive Visit to Transport Safety Investigation Bureau
AAIS organised a visit to the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB) on 7 November 2024. Participants gained insights into TSIB’s role in investigating air, marine, and rail accidents and incidents through a comprehensive overview and sensory activities. A guided tour of the equipment room provided a firsthand look at investigative tools while interactive Q&A further enriched the learning experience.
