Aviation Officials from Kobe City, Japan
AAIS was pleased to welcome a delegation of senior aviation officials from Kobe City on 2 June, led by Mr Yasuo Kawahara, DG Airport Affairs of the Port and Harbor Bureau of the Kobe City Government, alongside three other senior representatives. With Kobe Airport recently attaining international status and the city looking to develop its aerospace industry, the delegation was keen to learn about Singapore’s aerospace ecosystem development.

Part of AsiaTech x Singapore, SatelliteAsia is one of the region’s leading gatherings for the satellite and space communications community. Through our exhibition booth, activities and engagements, AAIS connected with global companies and stakeholders, sharing about Singapore’s growing space ecosystem, as well as opportunities for collaboration and exchange.

AAIS was pleased to support the inaugural Space Industry Forum 2026, held on 19 May in Singapore. AAIS Senior Advisor moderated a panel discussion titled “Digital Future: Next-Gen Space for a Smarter, Connected World” featuring speakers from Gilat Satellite Networks, SpeQtral, ST Engineering and Tototheo Global. Discussions centred around space as part of the digital infrastructure underpinning modern economies.

AAIS’ second HOST networking session for the year was held on 19 May at the Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC). The evening welcomed close to 100 members and partners from across Singapore’s aviation and aerospace ecosystems. Guests also had the exclusive opportunity to tour AATC training facilities and experience the Full Flight Simulators. The Annual AAIS Bowling Tournament saw the aerospace community take to the lanes at Orchid Country Club on 16 May, for a morning of corporate bonding, camaraderie and friendly competition. This year’s edition marked its biggest turnout yet, with 33 teams participating from 18 companies representing a cross of the industry. Our heartiest congratulations to winning teams and individuals and thank you to all bowlers for making the tournament a success!

Sponsored by Coface, the session brought together leaders from industry, finance services and government for discussions spanning tariffs, supply chain, AI and workforce transformation, with a forward‑looking focus. The seminar underscored the “perma-crisis environment” and highlighted the need for continued dialogue and partnerships to strengthen Singapore’s position in a dynamic landscape.
