Ringing in the Year of the Snake: AAIS CNY HOST Networking
On February 13th, AAIS members, partners and guests gathered for our first HOST networking of the year, held at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement and camaraderie as guests celebrated the Lunar New Year and connected with industry friends both old and new. A highlight was the customary ‘Lohei’ with well-wishes for a prosperous year ahead.

AAIS Student Leaders Summit 2025
On 24 January 2025, AAIS held its inaugural Student Leaders Summit at Embry-Riddle Asia, which brought together industry representatives and students passionate about aviation and aerospace from universities across Singapore, including Embry-Riddle Asia, NUS, NTU, SIT, SUSS and SUTD. The event also kickstarted the new AAIS Affiliated Student Clubs Initiative.

MoC between AAIS and ASTM International
On 23 January 2025, AAIS and ASTM signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to promote exchange of information and participation in the international standards-setting process. The MoC was signed by AAIS Chief Executive Sia Kheng Yok and ASTM International President Andrew Kireta Jr. Representatives discussed standards development efforts across sectors including aerospace, aviation, UAS, and AAM and identified potential collaboration areas.

SS708:2024 – FLM Additive Manufacturing in Aerospace
AAIS was pleased to support the launch of SS 708:2024, a new Singapore Standard for Filament Layer Manufacturing (FLM) in aerospace applications. This is Singapore’s first standard for additive manufacturing in aerospace, providing a structured framework for producing high-quality FLM components such as lightweight structural parts and specialised maintenance tooling.

Singapore Pavilion at inter airport SEA 2025
The Singapore Pavilion at inter airport Southeast Asia 2025 was a hive of activity, with 13 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies driving efficiency and sustainability in airport operations. The event also featured insightful discussions where industry leaders shared their vision for the future of airports in APAC. We congratulate RX on the successful show and our member CW Aero Services on their latest partnership!

Business Aviation Asia Forum & Expo 2025
AAIS was pleased to be a supporting association of the inaugural Business Aviation Asia Forum & Expo 2025. AAIS Chief Executive participated in a key panel discussion on “Southeast Asia: The New Centre of Growth,” together with leaders from ACAM, Air 7 Asia and TAG Aviation. AAIS also contributed insights on industry development in a CNA media interview, and opportunities for Singapore in the sector’s expansion.
