Under the Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) Regulations, all workplaces are required to implement comprehensive risk assessment (RA) for work processes. With detailed plans to reduce or minimise workplace safety and health risks at source, where reasonably practicable.
Eligibility Criteria
- All workplaces which employ not more than 300 workers
- Group fixed assets investment of not more than S$15million and group employment size of not more than 200 workers (Group denotes parent companies and subsidiaries.
- Have at least 30% shareholding that is local
- Must not be a public listed company or subsidiary of a listed company
- Have not received any government assistance for RM development
- Declare all worksites that the company is involved in
- Must not be OHSAS 18001 qualified, or equivalent.
- At least one CEO or top management must have attended a workshop on Risk and Safety Management conducted by an ATP, and another managerial or supervisory staff must have completed a recognised Risk Management Coursed conducted by ATP.
Funding cap
The RMAF co-funds:
- 90% of consultancy costs, capped at S$6,000 per company
- bizSAFE level 1 and 2 course fees (if applicable)
- RMAF agent fees and Auditor fees up to S$400 each respectively
** Due to overwhelming response, the RMAF is currently depleted and is pending fresh top-up later in the year. The WSH Council will not be approving any new applications until further notice.

AAIS Renewal as RMAF Agent - 24th Sep 2009, MND Complex Auditorium
The AAIS' committment as an RMAF agent has been enhanced, with the WSH Council renewing the Association's role as an RMAF agent for the next 3 years. The signing ceremony was held on 24 Sep 2009 at the MND Complex Auditorium.
To date, the AAIS has respresented over 30 companies as their RMAF agent for the work year 2009/2010. The Association strives to continue promoting Risk Management to the aerospace and its supporting industries. Dr Aloysius Tay, Chief Executive, AAIS and Ms Angela Ng, Senior Manager, AeroResource Centre, represented the Association as signatory and witness for the ceremony, which was represented by Mr Ho Siong Hin, Commissioner, WSH Council and Mr Kelvin Teoh, Director, WSH Council.
